Our Story

Since being acquired by husband & wife team Mark Evans & Linda Clayton-Evans in 2017, The New Gower Hotel has positioned itself as a haven for those looking to relax, unwind & celebrate all life has to offer.

Having received much praise for thier original venture – the Tafarn-y-Deri in Carmarthenshire – the duo hope to repeat their success on the stunning Gower peninsula.  Both Linda & Mark bring a wealth of knowledge & experience to The New Gower Hotel, having worked in the hospitality sector across the globe.

With their passion for supporting the local community, their determination to source fantastic Welsh produce for their on-site restaurants, and of course, that all important warm Welsh welcome, Linda & Mark look forward to seeing you at The New Gower Hotel soon.

Monroe’s Restaurant

The New Gower Hotel’s on-site restaurant Monroe’s, offers fine dining in the heart of the peninsula. Executive chef Mark Evans – along with his talented team – provide guests & non-guests of the hotel with spectacular dishes using only the finest, locally-sourced ingredients.

Monroe’s is open to both guests & non-guests of the hotel serving both lunch & dinner, as well as drinks within the bar area.
